About Wild Geranium Design

Founded by Alla, a surface pattern designer based in Vancouver, Canada, Wild Geranium Design is an independent surface pattern design studio creating cohesive pattern collections for fabric, wallpaper, and interior applications.

The studio brings a heritage-informed approach to contemporary surface design, drawing inspiration from Victorian-era ornament, Arts & Crafts traditions, European folk motifs, and the quiet structure of botanical forms. Each collection is developed as a cohesive visual system, balancing hero prints with coordinating patterns and tonal blenders for layered interior storytelling and product development.

Behind each collection is a hands-on creative process that begins with sketching and motif development, often using analog repeat planning before moving into digital refinement and repeat construction. This approach balances expressive ornament with production-ready surface design, ensuring patterns translate effectively across scale, substrates, and commercial applications.

Selected works by Wild Geranium Design have been recognized in Spoonflower design challenges and featured in Spoonflower-curated homepage collections, with ongoing retail distribution via Spoonflower across major platforms such as Amazon, Michaels, and Etsy.

Wild Geranium Design is open to collaboration and licensing partnerships with brands and manufacturers seeking cohesive, heritage-inspired surface pattern collections for fabric, wallpaper, and interior applications.
